The wine has enticing spice aromas and an elegant yet intense palate. White pepper, spice and red stone fruit plus hints of toast are all part of the complex character. The seamless, long and rounded finish is most satisfying.

Vivid crimson purple a fragrant perfumed bouquet of black cherry and spice is faithfully repeated on the fine but intense palate with perfectly judged oak and tannin support. Rating: 94 points
Robert Geddes – Australian Wine Vintages 2012 ★★★★★
An Australian Cornas. Medium bodied, and savoury white pepper; this is a long way from the South Australian style.
The Weekly Review – Ben Thomas April 2011 ★★★★ 1/2
This was reductive upon opening – with meaty and burnt rubber smells – but a slosh into the decanter saw these notes fade to reveal complex aromas and flavours of bright cherry, strawberry, plum, white pepper and cardamom. Great balance and structure- a hallmark of the label – sees fine sandy tannins and bright slightly sour cherry acids carry the intense flavours to all corners of the mouth. This will be long lived too. Tasted over three days and it got better and better as it evolved..
