Pinot Noir L’ami sage

By delightful contrast to the Les cinq, the major part of the pinot blocks grow the L’ami sage, and have consistently resulted in pinot noir that has a more voluptuous character, with a pronounced structure and definition of tannin as well as fruit. Perhaps a bit more skeletal and muscular. As with the Les cinq, this wine also expresses savoury, earthy elements, fresh vibrant fruit and silky tannins with balance and amazing persistence on the palate.

Pinot Noir L’ami sage 2009: Light, healthy colour; very much in the Paradigm Hill style, very savoury and spicy, the red berry fruits not drowned out, but equally not centre stage.. Rating: 92 points.
