Whilst the L’ami sage and Les cinq wines are grown, harvested and vinified in the same ways, we marvel at the different expression of “terroir” in these two wines.
The tiny amount of Les cinq which we grow from just 5 of the most westerly and elevated rows, is always the most elegant, alluring, and fragrant in the vineyard.
The wine reflect its Burgundian inspiration – with savory, earthy elements and at the same time, fresh vibrant fruit with silky tannins. With balance and amazing persistence on the palate – the wine invites you to discover more!

Pinot Noir Les cinq 2009: Very slightly deeper colour than L'Ami Sage; there is more fruit on the bouquet, some plum joining in to support the red fruit; the palate is more silky, the savoury/spicy notes still there, but simply acting to make the fruit more complex.Rating: 96 points.
